Cookie Policy

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. ReleasePort uses only strictly necessary cookies required for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

For information about our analytics provider Umami, see our Privacy Policy.

Cookies set by ReleasePort

Cookie Duration Purpose
Session token Short-lived (under 1 hour) Authenticates your current session. Strictly necessary.
Renewal token Several days Keeps you signed in across browser sessions without re-entering your email. Strictly necessary.

Both cookies are strictly necessary for authentication. Under ePrivacy rules, strictly necessary cookies do not require consent.

Cookies set by Cloudflare (our infrastructure provider)

ReleasePort is served through Cloudflare, which acts as a reverse proxy, CDN, and DDoS protection layer. Cloudflare may set the following cookies automatically for bot protection and security:

Cookie Duration Purpose
__cf_bm 30 minutes Cloudflare bot management. Distinguishes legitimate human visitors from automated traffic. Strictly necessary for security.
cf_clearance 30 minutes–1 year Cloudflare challenge verification. Set when a browser passes a security challenge. Strictly necessary for security.

These cookies are set by Cloudflare as an infrastructure provider, not by ReleasePort. They are strictly necessary for protecting the service from automated attacks. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for more information.

Third-party requests (no additional cookies)

When you use ReleasePort, your browser loads resources from these third-party CDNs. These may receive your IP address but do not set additional cookies in our context:

Service Trigger Purpose
unpkg.com (HTMX, Alpine.js) Every page Loads JavaScript libraries with integrity (SRI) hashes. Your IP is sent to unpkg (Cloudflare CDN).
Cloudflare Turnstile Login page Bot detection on the sign-in form (when enabled). Processes IP address and browser signals. May set Cloudflare session cookies subject to their policy.

Inter font files are self-hosted on our own servers — your browser does not contact Google Fonts or any external font CDN when loading ReleasePort.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking ReleasePort's authentication cookies will prevent you from staying signed in. Since all cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them will impact service functionality.

Analytics with Umami (cookieless)

ReleasePort uses Umami for analytics. Umami does not set cookies — it relies instead on a hashed daily identifier stored in your browser's localStorage. This is a privacy-preserving alternative that allows us to understand aggregate site usage patterns without identifying individual visitors or tracking you across other websites.

For complete details about what Umami collects and how your data is handled, see the Analytics (Umami) section in our Privacy Policy.

No advertising cookies or networks

ReleasePort does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, or any advertising networks. No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
