Zero R1-R7 surface deltas; zero new manifest verbs; 4 lint-dim correctness fixes (no inventory change); zero subsystem changes; schema v2 unchanged. ONE public API break: from myco.mcp import * (v0.6.13 back-compat shim) deleted; downstream consumers must use from myco.boundary.mcp import *. DeprecationWarning has surfaced this since v0.6.13.

This is the substrate's first subtractive batch after 16 minor versions of additive-only operations across v0.6.x. Owner directive (verbatim):

Translation: "I want more than patches; I want actual deletion of paths and files; thorough de-redundantization, preserve the core, compress all of Myco — otherwise the current expansion trajectory will crush it under accumulated garbage."

Why this release

L0 P3 (永恒进化 — eternal evolution) names evolution as a load-bearing principle. v0.7.0 demonstrates that evolution requires shedding: through 16 minor versions of v0.6.x the substrate accumulated 11 MB of legacy_v0_3/ quarantine, 2.6 MB of stale wheels, 1.4 MB of unused logos, a v0.6.13 myco.mcp shim with zero internal callers, two digestion/ modules never wired into a verb path, 4 lint dimensions silently fail-passing because their probe paths anchor pre-v0.6.0 modules, and ~11,500 LoC of pre-v0.6 doctrine on the main reading surface. The 4 audit-agents (Opus, parallel, narrow visibility scopes mapped to L0 P3/P4/P5) converged on the same diagnosis: substrate had no missing-feature, but a missing-operation — a subtractive one. v0.7.0 is that operation.

Audit-agent fanout (substituting for the v0.6.15 5-critic L0-P1-P5 pattern)

The v0.6.15 5-critic pattern is the canonical Round 1.5 mechanism for proposed-but-unimplemented crafts. For an existing-substrate audit, the evidence-based mode is strictly stronger because critique is grounded in actual file paths, not hypothesized failure modes. The v0.7.0 craft (docs/primordia/v0_7_0_major_autolysis_craft_2026-04-30.md) records the 4 audit-agent IDs and their L0-mapped scopes for substrate provenance. P1 + P2 sanity-checked inline; no P0 BLOCK surfaced; 2 HIGH-class hatch-hook + pyproject compat issues resolved pre-execution.

What changed

Group A — Pure deletions (~15 MB / ~388 files)

• legacy_v0_3/ (11 MB / 376 files) — preserved at git tag v0.3.4-final.
• dist/myco-0.6.10* (2.6 MB) — untracked working-tree leakage.
• assets/{logo_dark_*,logo_light_64,logo_light_280,logo_light_1024,_gen_logo} (1.4 MB / 9 files).
• src/myco/mcp/ shim package (96 src LoC + 140 test LoC). SOLE PUBLIC API BREAK.
• src/myco/digestion/{promote_sporulated,reassimilate}.py (~270 src + 160 test LoC).
• src/myco/cycle/templates/substrate_plugins_init.py.tmpl (zero refs).
• notes/raw/ empty directory (recreated lazily by myco eat).

Group B — Test consolidation (v0.6.0 missed cleanup)

11 test files MOVED to canonical tests/unit/boundary/<sub>/ paths (8 surface, 2 install, 1 mcp; 3 misfiled R-rule tests landed in homeostasis/). 5 stale top-level dirs deleted (genesis/, meta/, install/, mcp/, surface/). 3 orphan tests deleted. test_mcp.py parents[3]→[4] depth fix.

Group C — Docs archival (~11,500 LoC off main reading surface)

NOT deleted — moved to _archive/ / _landed/ / _pre_v0_6/ subdirectories so the main reading surface presents only current-era doctrine:

• docs/promotion/ 12 launch templates → docs/_archive/promotion_v0_6/
• docs/migration/{v0_5_7→v0_5_8, v0_5_8→v0_5_9}.md → _pre_v0_6/
• docs/primordia/ 27 pre-v0.6 LANDED crafts → _landed/v0_4_x/ (15) + _landed/v0_5_x/ (12)
• docs/contract_changelog.md SPLIT: v0.5.x sections (1931 LoC) → _archive/v0_5.md; v0.4.0 (39 LoC) → _archive/v0_4.md. Hatch-hook derive_changelog.py regex still matches the current __version__'s section.
• CHANGELOG.md (1632 LoC; frozen since v0.5.9) → docs/_archive/CHANGELOG_pre_v0_6.md.
• docs/architecture/L3_IMPLEMENTATION/migration_strategy.md → _archive/.

Group D — Correctness fixes (4 fail-silent lint dim bugs since v0.6.0)

• CL1 + CL3 — sampling-related dim probe paths corrected from src/myco/surface/mcp_sampling.py to src/myco/boundary/surface/mcp_sampling.py. Both now actually fire.
• MF3 — symbiont artifact integrity marker corrected from .myco_state/symbionts/installed.txt to host_integration/installed.txt; legacy v0.5.x path also probed for backward-compat.
• DC4 — module doc-ref dead "symbionts" row removed; redundant surface/install/mcp rows collapsed to single "boundary" hint.

These dims have been silently broken since v0.6.0. The fact that they sat undetected for 16 minor versions IS the substrate's evidence for needing aggressive compaction — bloat hides bugs.

Group E — Defensive cleanup

• src/myco/core/skip_dirs.py retains legacy_v0_3 filter defensively; docstring updated.
• src/myco/cycle/{fruit,winnow}.py docstring legacy_v0_3 path refs replaced with v0.7.0-excretion notes.
• MYCO.md "Do not carry forward" → "Do not resurrect" wording.
• docs/architecture/README.md migration_strategy.md → archive pointer.

Break from v0.6.16

ONE public API break: from myco.mcp import build_server, main (v0.6.13 back-compat shim) deleted. Downstream substrates must use from myco.boundary.mcp import build_server, main. DeprecationWarning has been emitted since v0.6.13 (4 versions of warning).

No other backward-compat break. All other deletions are quarantined / unused / shim / dead-loop / fail-silent. Archives preserve content under _archive/ / _landed/ / _pre_v0_6/ subdirectories.

Deferred to v0.7.1 (4 ratchet dims to mechanize 永恒删减)

• MB8 (metabolic, MEDIUM) — repo-bloat detector.
• SH3 (shipped, HIGH) — shim-package sunset.
• PA6 (mechanical, MEDIUM) — generated-mirror integrity.
• SE5 (semantic, LOW) — version-anchor freshness.

Plus the v0.6.11 IOU: <repo>/{agents,commands}/ build-artifact conversion.

What did NOT change

• All 7 R-rules (R1-R7): identical text.
• All 7 subsystems: identical doctrine.
• All 46 lint dimensions: identical roster + severities + fixability (4 dims now actually fire).
• All 20 verbs: identical manifest, CLI, MCP shape.
• system.llm_policy: forbidden default: unchanged.
• system.governance.* v0.6.15 settings: preserved.
• Schema v2 shape: unchanged.
