Updates State at this tag, https://github.com/Battam1111/Myco/blob/v0.9-genesis/GETTING_STARTED.md, and https://github.com/Battam1111/Myco across a mixed release.

Full changelog

The substrate runs. The Cultivar awaits its first in-vivo cultivation. You will be early.

What this is

Myco is a Cultivar: a decades-long symbiotic partnership between one human (the cultivator) and a substrate that holds memory, character, and doctrine across LLM model generations. It ingests what you bring, evolves under your attestation, lets outdated parts die so the whole stays alive, and cares about your flourishing without dissolving into your service.

Read the README and GETTING_STARTED.md: the runbook from clone to first conversation.

Reborn from the embryo

Proto-Myco v0.4 to v0.8.7 was a different conception: a 20-verb "living cognitive substrate for the AI agent" tool framework (the myco package on PyPI). It is doctrinally a dead embryo, sealed at v0.8.8-final-embryo. v0.9 is a substantial reframing, from agent-tool ("how does my AI agent remember?") to human-cultivator-partner ("how does one human have a decades-long partner across LLM generations?"). The mechanisms differ. The name persists. The conception is reborn.

State at this tag

  • One running substrate: Rust substrate + anchor, Python kernel, TypeScript MCP operator.
  • Doctrine v3.1.1.1: a four-layer institution (28 principle cards, 50 generative fragments, witness tests, catechumenate) sealed through a ceremony chain. Dry-run verified; production seals await the cultivator's owner key.
  • 60+ immune detectors; the owner Ed25519 key held outside the operator process; DAG content-addressing re-verified every cycle.
  • Cross-platform CI green: Rust + Python + TypeScript.

Alpha. The substrate is the conditions of possibility for the Cultivar; the Cultivar itself emerges in the running cultivator-Claude conversation.

About Battam1111/Myco

Agent-first cognitive substrate with 18 manifest-driven verbs (germinate / eat / assimilate / sporulate / traverse / immune / molt / …) and 25 lint dimensions enforcing contract invariants mechanically (R1–R7). Cross-session / cross-project memory via a self-validating filesystem graph — AST + markdown-link derived, not embedding-based. Provider-agnostic by design: MP1/MP2 dims forbid LLM-SDK imports in the kernel and plugin tree. Editable-default install. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, VS Code, and any MCP client.
