Summary
AI summaryPlaywright becomes the primary extraction method when Chrome is available.
Full changelog
Changed
- Playwright is now the primary extraction path when Chrome is available. Previously, visual extraction only ran as a LOW-quality fallback. Now it runs for every
brand_start --mode autowhen Chrome/Playwright exists in the environment. Static CSS parsing remains the fallback when Chrome is not available.
Improved
- When Chrome is unavailable, quality reasons explicitly state: "extraction used static CSS only — for better results, install Chrome or run in an environment with browser support." Agents know exactly what they're missing.
This fixes the entire class of JS-rendered sites (Pendium, Prisma, Basecamp, Elementor sites) where static CSS parsing misses brand colors. In environments with Chrome, first-run extraction quality should match or exceed dembrandt.
