Full changelog
No external CLI needed anymore
PokeTokenBar now reads your token usage directly from local Claude Code & Codex logs — the ccusage CLI is no longer required. Just install and go.
- Removed the
ccusagedependency. Token & cost totals are computed in-app by parsing~/.claude/projectsand~/.codex/sessionsdirectly (deduped, incrementally cached). Verified to match the previous numbers. - Lighter on battery. No more spawning external Node processes every couple of minutes.
- Official limits (Claude 5h/weekly, Codex) are unchanged and keep working as before.
Upgrading
brew upgrade --cask poke-token-bar
You can now uninstall ccusage if you only kept it for this app. macOS 14+.
Fresh install
brew install --cask chattymin/tap/poke-token-bar
