ReleasePort's take
Light signalThe release adds new morphing looks and UI badges while fixing several bugs and improving startup performance. It also removes the deprecated Sonic Atlas 2D map view.
Why it matters: Deprecation severity is high (70); removal of Sonic Atlas 2D map view (~900 LOC) affects Eviland UI developers who must migrate away before it is eliminated.

Full changelog
NewAmp 1.11.0 — the Eviland update
Eviland
- Liquid — Eviland's Navier-Stokes fluid solver now drives a visible dye field: every instrument injects its own colored splat (the kick floods up from the floor, the snare jets near-white, hats sparkle the top edge, vocals bloom at their own pitch height), silence stills the surface, and stereo pans become visible currents.
- The six MilkDrop-variety engine primitives — q-variable LFOs (tempo-locked), per-pixel radial warp profiles, per-channel RGB trail decay, a moving warp centre, video echo, and tear-free field crossfades between song sections. All default-neutral: classic looks render identically.
- 26 morphing looks (was 6) — vortex, inkwell, supernova, cathedral, phosphor, ribbonfall, pulsar, mosaic, deepfield, solarflare, glasshouse, stormfront, heartbeat, carousel, firefly, tidal, prism, echochamber, wireframe, emberveil, plus the retuned originals — each with a distinct motion signature, enforced by a pairwise distinctness test and a GPU capture harness. Note: shareable look seeds map into the expanded pool, so an old seed code may resolve differently.
Player
- Format badges — FLAC / 24-96 hi-res / DSD64–1024 / notable lossy bitrate chips on Library rows, album tracklists, and Now Playing, derived from real sample rates.
- Signal-path badge — the transport now shows "44.1k DIRECT" vs "44.1k→48k RESAMPLED" at a glance, with click-through to the full readout in Settings → Audio.
Removed
- Sonic Atlas — the 2D map view never earned its slot (~900 LOC gone). The Audio DNA engine stays: Sounds Like, Living Tags
dna.*, and Wrapped's vibe are untouched.
Fixed & performance
- The full local release gate runs green again (six pre-existing smoke breaks repaired),
structuredClonein the look engine's hot path, dead boot shader removed, and smaller logo assets for faster startup.
SHA256 checksums for all artifacts are in SHA256SUMS.txt. Windows SmartScreen may warn on first launch (unsigned build) — verify against the checksums, then "More info → Run anyway."
