Full changelog
[1.58.3] — 2026-05-19
fix(deep): R-2 / FIX-C1 — strip ORPHAN / unbalanced agent-scaffolding tags from research output. v1.58.0 added cleanLlmMarkdown but it only removed paired <tool_call>…</tool_call> blocks and a dangling open tag. A deep regression of v1.58.2 found a model that emitted a lopsided trace — an orphan closing </tool_response> (and </thinking>) with no opener — which survived and rendered literally in the saved #/deep brief. A final conservative sweep now removes any standalone scaffold token (open or close, balanced or not): tool_call|tool_response|tool_use|function_call|function_results|thinking, the Anthropic tool XML (<invoke …>/</invoke>/<parameter …>/<function_calls> and antml:-namespaced forms), and fenced ```tool_* blocks. Pure + idempotent; real <https://…> autolinks and `<code>` spans are preserved (only the named agent tokens match). FIX-C2 (`` not updating) was triaged not-reproducible — `i18n.js` already sets `document.documentElement.lang` on `setLang` AND at boot and detects `navigator.language`; the QA repro was a stale `localStorage`/pre-redeploy artifact. Locked both with regression guards. 896 → 900 unit · Playwright 58/58 · e2e 20/20+23/23. The remaining v1.58.3 fix-prompt items (M-1 focus-ring, M-4..M-9, I-1..I-6, U-1..U-15) are queued as subsequent one-fix ships per project doctrine (never batched). See `qa/v158-regression/`.
