New Features

  • add option to enable core.fscache equivalent on windows
    Add index_as_worktree::Options::fscache to let callers enable a Windows-only
    status accelerator equivalent in spirit to Git's core.fscache. When enabled,
    each status worker keeps a short-lived lazy metadata cache rooted at the
    worktree and reuses metadata from parent directory enumeration before falling
    back to live per-file lstat calls.

    Expose the cache as an option on index_as_worktree and add the matching
    rename-aware option field, while keeping the Windows cache module internal to
    gix-status.
