Full changelog
v2.5.0 - Games, filters & more
[!IMPORTANT]
⚠️ REMINDER: As with any update, it is highly recommended to export your database before upgrading. Safety first!
🎮 New Media Support
- Games: DVinyl now supports Video Games. Whether it's retro cartridges or modern discs, you can now track your gaming library alongside your music and movies.
Go get your api keys to enable the feature ;D
🔍 Advanced Search & Filtering
-
Decade Filter: Quickly browse your collection by era.
-
Granular Sorting: New sorting options for Date Added, Title, Year, and Artist with both Ascending and Descending toggles.
-
Filter Logic Toggle: You can now choose between "Show selection" or "Hide selection," allowing you to exclude specific items from your view entirely.
Thank @derekdino123 for the suggestions!
📝 Metadata & Item Management
-
Barcode Editing & Locking: You can now manually edit barcodes. I’ve also added a Lock feature to prevent a "Refresh" from overwriting your manual corrections. (hi @oliverjunker !)
-
Music Date Editing: Added the ability to modify dates for music items for better chronological accuracy.
-
Image Optimization: Added automatic compression when importing local images. This keeps your database light and your loading speeds snappy without sacrificing quality.
⚙️ System & Admin Control
- Base URL Support: Thanks to a PR from @mistic100, DVinyl now supports a custom base URL (e.g.,
https://yourdomain.com/dvinyl), making reverse proxy setups much easier.
Privacy Controls:
- Hide content: New option in the Admin page to hide specific content.
[!NOTE]
If the toggle is checked, the content remains hidden even for the admin to ensure a clean interface when needed.
🛠 Other Improvements
- Improved back-end handling for local imports.
- Refined UI for the filtering sidebar.
- Various under-the-hood bug fixes and stability tweaks.
I hope you like this version. A big thank you to @mistic100 for their collaboration, and a big thank you to everyone who opens issues to suggest improvements or report bugs.
Love u all <3
