Ztare

ZTARE v2 is a major refoundation of the repo beyond the original v1 thesis loop.

This release includes:

• modularized implementation under src/ztare/
• V4 kernel hardening artifacts and regression-backed validator modules
• a supervisor control plane for bounded work packets
• seed / proposal / genesis / manifest workflow under research_areas/ and supervisor/
• a constraint-memory benchmark harness with curated specimen suites
• a global primitive library and incident/review structure
• clean public paper bundles under papers/ for all four papers
• updated architecture, workflow, and decision-log documentation

This repo may read in at least three ways:

1. an overbuilt response to a problem that did not justify this much machinery
2. an instructive failure in how quickly LLM systems can generate bureaucratic complexity
3. evidence that one researcher, in roughly 10–11 days and about $220 in model spend, can build a surprisingly capable
   stack: four papers, a hardened evaluator path, a supervisor control plane, and a reproducible benchmark harness

The point of publishing the repo is not to claim the system is finished. It is to make the costs, failures, and control
surfaces inspectable in public rather than hidden behind a narrative.
