Microphone choice, a fixed quit/update deadlock, working Hindi→Hinglish in terminals, and a real bridge for local agents. Everything still runs entirely on your Mac.
Highlights
- Pick your microphone. Settings → Dictation → Microphone (also in the pill's right-click menu). Velora keeps recording from the mic you chose even when macOS switches its default input — the AirPods-connect case: keep the MacBook mic's quality and skip the Bluetooth capture delay. "System default" behaves exactly as before, and an unplugged choice falls back gracefully and wins again when it reconnects.
- Quit can no longer wedge. A stuck teardown callback could leave Velora unquittable — and once that happened, the in-app update sat on "Installing…" forever while every later Quit was silently ignored. Termination now has a watchdog (with a grace period for a meeting that's genuinely finalizing), the updater force-exits so the swap helper can always finish, and the pill's right-click menu has a Quit item as a last resort.
- "Write output in English letters" now works where you dictate. The transliteration gate was unreachable in Terminal/Raw modes, so Hindi dictated into a terminal never became Hinglish. Script intent now outranks formatting-off modes — while command-shaped input (
echo नमस्ते) stays byte-for-byte verbatim. - Local CLI and agents, loop closed. With "Allow local CLI and agents" on, Settings can now put a
veloracommand on your PATH and install a Claude Code skill (~/.claude/skills/velora) that teaches agents what they can ask — history search, stats, file transcription, and MCP registration (claude mcp add velora -- velora mcp). The installer refuses to touch avelorathat isn't Velora's own link. - Modes editor opened up — full-width wrapping fields and a visibly editable instructions box.
If a previous version's update is stuck on "Installing…"
That was this deadlock. Force-quit Velora (Activity Monitor, or killall Velora), reopen it, and install this version — from 0.10.0 on, the installer can't wedge. A manual DMG install or brew upgrade --cask velora also works.
