The /v1/users/profile API endpoint is deprecated and will be removed in the upcoming release; a new GraphQL endpoint for querying user preferences has been added.

Why it matters: Deprecation trigger: remove usage of /v1/users/profile before next release to avoid breakage. Plan migration to the new GraphQL endpoint now.
