Highlights

  • Added support for MCP prompts and introduced a separate repository for additional prompts, improving maintainability and extensibility.

Docker & Custom Messages

  • The Docker image now supports mounting custom ROS2 message packages into the MCP server via a Docker volume.
  • Docker automatically discovers and integrates these custom message definitions.

Topic Subscription & Publishing

  • The ros2_topic_subscribe tool now supports Image and CompressedImage message types, enabling MCP to receive image streams directly from ROS2 topics.
  • The ros2_topic_publish tool now includes options to configure:
    • how long a message should be published,
    • the publishing frequency.
